Olaria Rosé

Alentejo is one of Portugal’s leading wine regions, making up almost one-third of the land area of the country. While the country primarily has a reputation for Port, they are rapidly becoming known in the United States for the rest of their work in the wine world, including the incredibly popular rosé. Rosé is one of the hottest trends in wine right now and the Olaria is a great example.

One of the most enjoyable parts of exploring the wines of Portugal is that the grapes are relatively unknown in the United States, like the Aragonez (60%) and the Castelão (40%) used in this rosé. Completely aged in steel, this wine looks to remain fresh and vibrant, something that makes a rosé stand out.

Designed to be enjoyed cooler, at a temperature below 48 degrees, this wine will be luscious and crisp at the right temperature. Elegant, with notes of red fruit and tropical fruit, this wine remains balanced and fresh. You can age it up to two years but much longer and this wine will begin to lose some of its vibrancy. A beautiful pair for summer salads or light meals right off the grill.
