The Maule Valley in Chile has a Mediterranean-like climate, with mild winters and dry summers, with marked range of temperatures between day and night. This allows the grapes to get ripe tannins, as well as excellent aromas and color concentration. Soils are a combination of sand and volcanic ash and the flat terrain gets superb sunlight. Yields are carefully controlled to produce concentrated wines, with excellent quality and elegance. Camino de Chile Merlot is beautiful on first pour with a bright ruby color with violet tones. The wine has an intense aroma with abundant notes of ripe red fruits, plum and pepper. The tannins are sweet and velvety, with a long and lingering finish. We recommend pairing with roast beef, pork, pasta or fresh cheese.
