That's not a bad inspiration but we wanted to take it a step further. Splash has always been about exploration at any level and the connoisseur-quality wines are absolutely included. The Splash team convenes a detailed tasting panel every quarter to select incredible wines that meet several criteria. First off, they have to be exciting and artisan wines from some of the premier wineries around the world. Secondly, they need to be wines that we can offer to our Captain's List customers the explosive value that Splash and the Captain's List are known for. In addition, these wines need to be drinking beautifully right now but also are still okay to cellar - these wines are gems and treasures and they deserve to be savored for the right occasion. And, of course, the wines have to be absolutely delicious. A lot of work goes into every quarter's selection but it makes the selection something we are incredibly proud to present to you.

Obviously, the wines we select for this are incredibly important, but it's more than just that. The Captain's List is also about value - Splash is devoted to delivering exceptional value at any price point and these wines are absolutely a part of that mission.
