Slightly floral on the nose with a hint of minerality and pastry. Honeysuckle, peaches and herbs shine through from the Rousanne supported by lovely texture, depth and weight from the Grenache Blanc. A salivating mouth, which is slightly saline and with juicy pear notes.

Plaza de la Reina Tempranillo 2021

Spain • Tempranillo • Alcohol: 14.1%

The Plaza de la Reina is the busiest city square in old town Valencia, Spain's third largest city and a port that handles over 20% of the countries exports - so a great deal of Spanish wine goes out to the world from here! It is a global city with a great gastronomic culture (trivia point - the sweet beverage horchata often associated with Mexican food was actually born in Valencia), deep history and a patchwork of cultural influences. A beautiful hour-long drive southwest from the city takes one to the winery.

Tempranillo is a very dark red variety and one of Spain's most important, known to make age-worthy reds throughout the country. Grenache, or also called Garnacha in Spain, is likely to have originated in northern Spain and does well in hot regions; plants are is also known to thrive commonly and become "old vines" that produce excellent fruit. Monastrell goes by the name Mouvedre in France and is a small, thinner-skinned berry that produces higher perfumes and earthier flavors than the other two.

Plaza de la Reina red marries these three varietals into a totally tasty blend that displays a medium ruby hue and aromas of plum and cranberry with some spice. The flavors are surprisingly concentrated for a wine of this price with ripe fruit, nice tannins, and a long finish. One sip and you will find that the food choices are easy for this bottle: grilled beef, smoked meats and barbeque, even just good ol' hamburgers or meatloaf.

San Cisalto Puglia
Pinot Grigio 2022

Italy • Pinot Grigio • Alcohol: 12.0%

Welcome to Puglia, Italy- the heel of Italy's famous boot. Hundreds of miles of Mediterranean coastlines have people flocking to the region for fun in the sun and gorgeous wines. Pinot Grigio became a major import to the US from Italy in the 1970s and peaked in popularity in the 1990s as a stark alternative to the buttery, oak-aged Chardonnays of the time. Comparatively, Pinot Grigio is a slightly savory breath of fresh air. While some wine snobs may turn up their noses at Pinot Grigio, the varietal and San Cisalto in particular, are well worth a try (we think you might fall head over heels).

The nose is filled with fresh aromas of green apple, pear and straw. The same notes can be found on the palate, resulting in a wine that is light, refreshing and airy, but can still hold its own when paired with food. We recommend pairing with a fresh salad (the spicy bite of arugula would pair beautifully), grilled chicken or seafood.

La Piuma Pecorino Terre di Chieti 2022

Italy • Pecorino • Alcohol: 12.0%

The La Piuma Pecorino Terre di Chieti 2022 is a delightful and refreshing white wine that hails from the Terre di Chieti region in Italy. With its pale straw color, this wine exudes brightness and clarity. On the nose, enticing aromas of ripe citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, mingle with delicate floral notes and a touch of tropical fruit.

On the palate, the La Piuma Pecorino offers a lively and invigorating experience. The vibrant citrus flavors take center stage, accompanied by hints of green apple and a refreshing minerality. The wine's medium body and crisp acidity provide a zesty and refreshing mouthfeel, while its clean and vibrant finish leaves a lingering impression. This Pecorino pairs beautifully with light seafood dishes, fresh salads, and creamy cheeses. It is a true reflection of the Terre di Chieti's terroir, offering a taste of the region's vibrant and refreshing white wines.

Each glass is a scenic sip that transports you to the breathtaking vineyards along this picturesque route.

"Ruta 90" pays homage to the scenic route that winds through Chilean wine country. In Spanish, "ruta" means "route," and 90 represents the road that leads you through the heart of Chile's vineyards.

Potre Sweet White 2022

Argentina • White Blend • Alcohol: 11.5%

Potre Sweet White is named after the Potrerillos Dam and accompanying lake in Mendoza, Argentina. The winemakers describe the area as a stunning escape from the hustle of the city to a “beautiful beach surrounded by the snowcapped peaks of the Andes”- sounds like the perfect inspiration to us! Potre Sweet White is a white blend that is on the sweeter side, but never cloyingly so. The winemaker endeavored to create a balance for those who enjoy a slightly sweeter wine by balancing the wine with floral aromas and delightful kicks of citrus. The wine is gently sweet to start with a great fruity finish. We recommend pairing with spicier Asian dishes

Oshun Sweet White 2022

South Africa • White Blend • Alcohol: 13.0%

Oshun is the latest entry in Splash's collection of fruity and sweet wines. Oshun takes inspiration from the mythology of the Yoruba people who had a goddess of the same name. She was associated with, among other things, water and purity and the maintainer of sweet things. This legacy of fresh and sweet made Oshun the inspiration for our South African winery partners who created this sensational sweeter white wine.

The Natural Sweet White has a gorgeous, light straw color. Aromas of apricots and fruit salad are evident on first pour and then present deliciously on the palate. This flavorful wine is beautiful chilled and can be served on its own or would pair well with well-spiced dishes.
