Cantina di Solopaca Greco DOC "Selezione Oro" 2018
Cantina di Solopaca Greco DOC "Selezione Oro" 2018
The Cantina di Solopaca is one of the oldest farmers’ cooperatives in the Campania region of Italy. The Solopaca hills have been producing wine for centuries, with tales of French General, Joachim Murat, tasting Solopaca wine and extolling its merits to his brother-in-law, Napoleon.
The Greco DOC "Selezione Oro" is made with 100% Greco varietal grapes with fermentation taking place over 30-40 days in entirely stainless-steel tanks, resulting in a refreshing, never oaky or buttery wine. The resulting wine is a pale, straw yellow with aromas of wild flowers and hints of fresh grass. The mouthfeel is dry, balanced and with a strong minerality on the finish. Because this wine is youthful and fresh, we recommend pairing with charcuterie platters filled with mozzarella and burrata or fresh seafood.
