The grapes of Copper Valley come from estate vineyards in Villa Alegre, 285 km south of Santiago in the Maule Valley of Chile. The soils are derived from volcanic ash and consist of sandy to sandy-loam earth. The temperate Mediterranean climate supplies plenty of sunshine and the vineyards are carefully managed to produce grapes that have amazingly concentrated flavor.
Copper Valley Chardonnay has a bright yellow color. It has prominent aromas of banana, ripe peach and tropical fruit. These notes are balanced with a predominance of fruits from the Tropics. It has a fresh harmony that makes it refreshing and delightful, never oaky or buttery like California Chardonnays. It pairs well with appetizers, green salads, seafood, poultry and young cheeses.
