The Donama Malbec was produced by a family-owned and operated winery in Argentina and they have a soft spot in our hearts. Similarly to Splash, this winery has been in the wine business for generations and its a labor of love and passion. In fact, Donama takes its name from the grandfather and patriarch of the winery, Don Amadeo Maranon (who was nicknamed Donama!) who originally built the winery almost 70 years ago. This insane Malbec is an Argentinian classic that lives up to Donama's legacy. Donama Malbec is a beautiful red-purple color with notes of red and black fruits, like plums and raspberry jam. The tannins are sweet and soft. The wine has a medium body, round mouth-feel and the perfect balance between fruit and oak notes. We recommend pairing with roasted lamb or a hearty charcuterie board.
