Donama Syrah comes from Argentina and is a gorgeous, deep purple red color. Syrah is a thick-skinned grape that originates in the Rhone Valley, but has been successfully grown in warm climates, like Argentina, for many years. Usually used a blending juice in Argentina, a pure Syrah from Argentina is relatively rare (though growing in popularity). Donama has notes of spice, leather, figs, blueberries and a touch of vanilla from oak aging. The body is medium-full with balanced acidity and soft tannins. We recommend pairing with barbeque spareribs or hard cheeses.
