If you are new to Romanian wine, you are in for a treat. The fifth largest wine producing country in Europe (with production volume similar to Chile), Romania has been making wine for hundreds of years and offers unique varietals at an amazing value.
Dragon Hills Pinot Noir has a lovely light, red-fruited nose that is really rather pretty with notes of floral violet. There are gentle supporting woody notes from a little time in oak and a delightfully soft, supple finish. Chilled a few degrees, this would be a stunning wine with crispy duck, lamb curries and chili beef.
