El Explorador Torrontes

Another South American specialty, Torrontes wines are grown almost exclusively in Argentina. Fruit forward and delightfully refreshing, this wine screams hot days on the patio or hot meals from the kitchen. The striking perfumed nose (floral) contrasts with the drier taste, making this wine a surprising change for the consumer (and why many in the wine world are keeping an eye on Torrontes to be “the next big thing in white wine”).

While this wine has a slighter sweeter nose, the profile is on the drier side. With notes of aromatics (floral and lemon peel), slight oak and a refined minerality, this golden-hued white wine pairs well with cured meats and spiced foods (think spicier Asian and Indian cuisines).
