Magnifico Sangiovese

Sangiovese is an Italian classic. It is the most widely planted red grape in the country by a long shot. The name comes from the Italian for "the blood of Jupiter" (the Roman name for Zeus) and it has been one of Italy's major grapes for, literally, hundreds of years. The grape is a key component in Italian classics like Chianti and other signature Italian wines. To make a long story short, you don't get much more Italian, when it comes to wine than Sangiovese.
