Spain is actually the world’s biggest exporter of wine and they produce over 400 varietals of wines in the country. However, none of these grapes is bigger to the wine world than Tempranillo. It is without a doubt the signature grape of Spain. The Mistico Tempranillo is a great example of why the grape has earned its spot on the pedestal.

High above sea level, the vineyards of Spain responsible for this wine have a nice clay soil. The vines are over 20 years old on average, with tons of history behind them. This lends an extra layer of complexity and elegance to this delicious wine.

The beautiful scent of this wine will start wafting from the glass as soon as you start to pour it, enticing you immediately. There are notes of berries and plum, strong and vibrant leading the way. Following these notes on the palate are flavors of dark fruit, leather and earthy spice. This is a full bodied wine with a long, lingering finish. This is a great pair for chicken and sweet peppers or even a duck breast with delicious polenta.
