Opera Maestra Rosso Toscana IGT 2018

Opera Maestra Rosso Toscana is grown and crafted in rolling hills of Tuscany and consists of 80% Sangiovese and 20% complementary native grapes. The grapes are harvested separately, then vinified in the traditional manner using selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 23°C in stainless steel tanks, in contact with the skins for 10 days with manual pumping over.  The wine is then further aged in cement tanks until it is fully ripe before further refining in the bottle for another 2 months. The resulting wine is an intense red with violet hues with aromas of cherry and violet notes alongside a hint of spice. The mouthfeel is pleasant with notes of jam with velvety tannins combined with a pleasant sapidity. Tuscany is known for “Super Tuscan” Red wines that pair beautifully with classically Italian dishes. We recommend pairing with herbaceous, spicy red meat sauces poured over fresh pasta.
