Perimetro Tempranillo/Garnacha

Garnacha–Tempranillo is a very popular blend combining two of Spain's core red wine varieties. The two are both hardy varieties that are traditionally grown as bush vines, a technique said to further concentrate the grapes’ fruit flavors. Tempranillo and Garnacha are frequently blending partners in Rioja. Tempranillo is used in the most dominant proportions to provide structure and soft tannins. Additionally, it delivers a vast array of flavors, from red cherries to blackcurrants all the way through to tobacco. Garnacha adds body, aromatic lift, and its signature raspberry notes.

Like many of Europe's wine countries, Spain is known for blending grapes that are suited to their unique landscape and food. This spicy blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha is perfectly balanced and almost savory. With age, you will find hints of tobacco and leather that marks a robust Spanish wine.
