Secret Vines Pinot Noir 2018

Pinot Noir is a very picky grape and only thrives in specific conditions. In the upper Loire valley, below the ancient volcanos of Auvergne, a unique soil of limestone, marls and granite gravels combines with summers of warm days and cool nights to create the ideal conditions for the delicate Pinot Noir grapes to achieve their full potential. During harvest, the grapes are carefully destemmed, with low temperature fermentation and limited cuvaison to protect their delicate nature.

This wine is all fruits with a touch of soft tannins and opens with an explosive nose of crushed raspberries and ripe red fruits. The body is light to medium and the mouthfeel is a soft, round charmer with a long aromatic finish. This wine is so versatile, we recommend pairing with any mushroom forward dish, roasted poultry, or brie or gouda cheeses.
