The Cape Pinotage 2017

Located in the foothills of Cape Fold Mountains on the Western Cape of South Africa, with its Mediterranean climate of hot summers and cool wet winters, the region provides ideal grape growing conditions. The terroir of the region adds a subtle complexity to Cape wines. This wine delights with notes of coffee, cherries, and vanilla oak. It has a stunning deep, ruby red color. The palate is velvety smooth and full-bodied with flavors of milky chocolate and a fresh finish. We recommend pairing with braised meats, like sausages, beef or lamb to bring out the sweeter notes of this wine.
