Uva di Troia is an ancient purple-skinned variety found in Puglia, the heel of Italy's boot, and is named for the town of Troia. The variety commonly produces full-bodied reds with good structure and tannins.
The Violante Nero di Trioa is a beautiful ruby-red with purple hues, and has fruity aromas of wild cherries, cinnamon, sage and tobacco leaf. Its flavors of raspberry, cherry, dark forest fruits and plums, along with some licorice and spice, make it elegant and vibrant. Comploimented by velvety smooth tannins and a very long finish.
