Volcanes Reserva Carménère

Carménère is the grape that put Chile on the map, turning the former Bordeaux blending grape into a superstar. This Reserva quality wine from the Andes Mountains of Chile blends the beautiful grape with a small amount (15%) of robust Cabernet to produce a real knock-out wine.

A deep and dark violet in color, this wine is visually striking from the outset. It has a strong nose of luscious black fruits, dark chocolate and hints of toast and olives. This full-bodied wine has nice structure on the palate, very smooth with gentle tannins and a lingering note of spicy black pepper making this wine unforgettable. It can make a great pair for casseroles and pasta dishes (a great spaghetti night wine!) but if you want to keep the vibe of the night Chilean, this wine will go great with some delicious empanadas.
