Cochon D'Or Rouge
Cochon D'Or Rouge
Translated from French, “Le Cochon d’Or” means “the golden pig”. While a golden pig would certainly be intriguing, the name of this wine pays homage to pigs renowned for their keen noses, adept at sniffing out culinary treasures like truffles. Rooting through autumn leaves, these humble hogs distinguish between worthless fungi and prized black truffles. However, appreciating Le Cochon d’Or Rouge red blend wine requires no such discernment. A harmonious 50/50 blend of Grenache and Carignan, this wine embodies the finest qualities of each varietal.
Bursting with robust red and black fruit flavors, underscored by a peppery finish and earthy umami notes, it pairs beautifully with roasted poultry or dishes richly spiced with cinnamon, five spice, cumin, thyme, and other bold flavors.
