With so much of French wine culture settling around Bordeaux, sometimes the other regions of France can feel slightly in the shadow. However, the south of France makes absolutely insane red wine with totally different characteristics from those in Bordeaux. This wine is proudly from southern France’s Mediterranean coast so they have aptly named this wine “Le Sud” – simply meaning “the South” in French.

This wine is astonishing with robust fruit flavors giving a juicy character to this wine. Spice and earth notes balance it and keep this wine restrained and elegant. All told, this wine is a gem that will show any doubters how great the wines of the south of France can be.
