One of the lesser known grapes, Petit Verdot is not a grape to be missed. Bearing some similarities to Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot can be elegant, yet with a nice robustness that makes it stunning. It is full-bodied and well-balanced. Like a good Pinot Noir, it makes an excellent pair with roasted lamb and strong, pungent cheeses.
This wine exhibits a classic pencil-lead’ nose, great depth, and soft fruit aromas, coupled with a full palate, a long finish, and classic lavender impressions.
